This is the first time I have sewn Dresden plates. They look especially good on a round table. The honey pot goes nicely with the bee themed fabric.

BYU and USU Stadium Quilts
Six months ago I lost the vision in my left eye. This health problem came about following a six and a half hour surgery during a back surgery fusion my lower back after a fall. I have been blessed with excellent health during my lifetime. I haven't experienced back pain or even back aches during my life. A broken back and the pain associated with my surgery has been severe. I am now back on my feet and doing extensive therapy to strength my core and back. I hope to spend the remainder of my life living a normal active life. It is amazing what doctors are able to do. The titanium rods and screws in my back are incredible. Since I suffered an optical stroke in my left eye during the lengthy surgery, I find myself dealing with adjusting to this vision loss. I was pretty discouraged that I might not be able to resume many of the hobbies I enjoy doing. After retiring from a long career teaching school, I am finally find time to explore many interests. The good news is that I have been able to resume sewing. Hurrah!!!!
We had two granddaughters graduate from high school this spring. These beautiful young women are both planning on attending college in the fall. They are both named Rachel. Rachel Israelsen is my oldest granddaughter. Rachel Geddes is a step granddaughter. We thought they would enjoy stadium quilts for those cold football games.
I was pleased to find that I could sew even with only one eye.

Little Mermaid
We have lots of granddaughters who love their American Girl dolls. Some have outgrown playing with them, but a few are still young enough to enjoy them. I made mermaid costumes for their dolls.
Jelly Roll Baby Quilt
My hairdresser had a baby. It was as easy to make a quilt as buy Colton a gift.
This quilt came together pretty fast.
Aggies, Wolverines, Hoosiers, or Cougars!
