We have lots of granddaughters who love their American Girl dolls. Some have outgrown playing with them, but a few are still young enough to enjoy them. I made mermaid costumes for their dolls.
Seems (Seams) likely I will be sewing now that I am retired. I also enjoy other hobbies and crafts. This blog is a journal of some of my projects.

Jelly Roll Baby Quilt
My hairdresser had a baby. It was as easy to make a quilt as buy Colton a gift.
This quilt came together pretty fast.
Aggies, Wolverines, Hoosiers, or Cougars!
Megan and Nathan's Wedding
I made them a BYU stadium quilt for a shower gift.
They also got two handmade BYU pillowcases.
Whales Tails
Here is a fun quilt made for family members living in Hawaii. Perfect for their living room that opens to a Lanai overlooking the ocean.
Makoa's Baby Cross Quilt
My daughter-in-law saw a quilt like this on Pinterest. I honored her request and duplicated it. My grandson, Makoa, is the beautiful baby who snuggles with this quilt.
This scrappy quilt used up some of my stash!
Hexi Quilt for a Granddaughter
What fun I am having rediscovering my sewing skills after they were somewhat dormant for decades. A granddaughter requested a lap quilt. She knew exactly what she wanted.
I am thrilled with the finished quilt.
Soon after retiring from teaching 4th grade for over three decades, I got into quilting. I love my Babylock Crown Jewel longarm quilting machine. I recently added another Babylock Unity embroidery machine to my sewing room. Here is the first quilt label I made on my new machine. What fun I am having!!!
The quilt pattern is from Camille Roskelley and the fabric is Moda's Happy Go Lucky!
A matching pillowcase might come in handy for a slumber party with the HEXI Quilt!
